CITIX MARE NOSTRUM (CMN) is a pioneering initiative dedicated to the sustainable development and regeneration of Mediterranean coastal regions. Through a multidisciplinary collaboration involving local and international experts, CMN strives to advance the blue economy, foster environmental innovation, and deliver high-impact solutions that align with its commitment to ecological, social, and economic progress.

CITIX MARE NOSTRUM

This project serves as the catalyst for a transformative connection between Barcelona’s cutting-edge 22@ District and the Mediterranean coastline at Port Forum, bridging the city’s vibrant hub of innovation with a strategic coastal zone. CMN is presented as the first SUPERBLOCK in Barcelona open to the sea, redefining the city’s relationship with its maritime environment. This innovative project not only enhances the beginning of the Diagonal Avenue axis by revitalizing a key area of the city but also opens up this space to welcome a new source of energy, both literally and symbolically. CMN proposes to seamlessly connect the promenade with the Besòs River Park and the Three Chimneys, integrating the urban space with its natural surroundings in a modern and harmonious way.

DÁRSENA 5.0

DÁRSENA 5.0 is a project centered around the transformation of the commercial dock at the Port of Vilanova i la Geltrú, leveraging the principles of the blue economy. This initiative integrates advanced Industry 4.0 technologies, such as automation and digitalization, to create a sustainable maritime hub. Featuring a state-of-the-art 5.0 shipyard and a cutting-edge Marine Innovation Hub, DÁRSENA 5.0 aims to foster economic growth, environmental stewardship, and community engagement in the Mediterranean region​.

THE CATANIA

In the heart of Chengdu, a city celebrated for its vibrant blend of tradition and modernity, a groundbreaking architectural marvel stands tall—The Catania, a 222-meter-high residential masterpiece. Developed within the CITIX WORLD ecosystem, this project is a testament to the seamless collaboration between visionary leaders in urban development. Inspired by the fusion of art and life, The Catania introduces residents to dynamic, playful environments that reflect the adventurous spirit of Chengdu's youthful population. Featuring unique spaces such as the "Jungle Secret" and "Dream Garden," the development offers a sense of exploration and creativity that resonates with the city's cultural ethos. Every detail within the design exemplifies the harmony between aesthetics and everyday practicality, making it a pioneering project in urban living.

Blue Economy Expo

The Blue Economy Expo 2025 is a significant international event aimed at promoting sustainable development along the Mediterranean coast. Its objectives include promoting the Blue Economy, fostering public-private collaboration, attracting investments, and driving regional economic and social progress. The Expo aims to raise awareness, inspire action, showcase innovation, encourage knowledge exchange, and boost the local economy. Participants include coastal municipalities, maritime companies, research institutions, government and non-profit organizations, and international contributors. The Expo's long-term impact includes shifting mindsets, fostering sector collaboration, spurring strategic investments, driving technological development, strengthening local identity, promoting equitable development, encouraging international cooperation, and leaving a lasting environmental legacy.

Universal Water Forum

FUAB2025 is a transformative event focused on water issues, taking place in Barcelona's Port Fórum venue. It aims to address urgent water challenges and ensure a sustainable water supply for future generations. With a unique emphasis on water culture, it will highlight the role of communities near water sources and promote intercultural dialogue. The event will feature in-person activities as well as digital platforms, including webinars and a cultural metaverse for immersive experiences. FUAB2025 seeks to leave a lasting impact through infrastructure projects and urban development, promoting water conservation and sustainable use.

EDAR Island

A visionary solution for wastewater treatment and environmental sustainability. This innovative island features three zones: the WWTP Zone, where advanced treatment processes ensure the removal of solids and contaminants; the Purification Zone, where aquatic plants naturally purify the water and separate organic nutrients; and the Regeneration Zone, which harnesses purified water enriched with organic nutrients to support the growth of aquatic and surface plants, providing a habitat for birds and marine species. With renewable energy systems and automated control, EDAR Island represents a harmonious blend of technology, nature, and ecological balance.
